I think it would be really nice to have just one invisible rod that would allow you in the configuration menu to turn on or off the animations. Turning on or off the sounds there would be nice too. Good for the fishing rod quick-changes!

Possible, but it adds yet another configuration item to the menus (on top of all the extra ones already going into the 3.3 rods; I've had to break the menu out to Simple and Advanced, oi) and with the upcoming SL changes limiting the size of scripts I'm trying to keep things lean and mean. We provide both normal and no-anim/sound versions in the box; I suggest swapping between the two as required.
