Feature Request: Reboot Button for Vendors

Postby bloodsong » 27 Apr 2009, 04:38

heyas;

every time the database goes down (or gets updated), my vendor stops working. well, yeah duh, but when the database is BACK, the vendor never starts working again. instead of having to re-rez a new one (and reposition it, and delete the old one), would it be possible to just be able to click it and hit a 'restart' option? (like on the ower menu when you click the top sign? btw, did that get decommissioned?) people with 4 sims of vendors might like this, too ;)

or is there a way to do this already, and i just can't find it? thanks!

I'm a little tired of crash-prone vendors, myself. I put several types of crash recovery in them, but the types of crashes we've seen recently keep wiggling by the recovery systems.

I'm going to be releasing new vendors soon which are better at recovery. They'll be an optional upgrade via Proof of Purchase pull, but definitely one you'll want to install.
