About Automatic Upgrades

Starting today, we're turning off the automatic sending of upgrade kits for some of our products. For these items, it's just too hard to track down every single copy you may have rezzed in SL to replace them -- and if you don't, you keep getting kit after kit, due to the way HippoUpdate works. It's a pain in the butt and we're just as tired of it as you are.

Affected products (updates will not be sent automatically)
* Fishing Area Kit: Vendors, Servers, Contest Boards, FAPT, etc.
* Aquariums
* Contest Expansion Pack

Unaffected products (updates will still be sent automatically)
* Fishing Rods
* Boats

We still believe in offering free updates for a lifetime after buying our products, of course. We're just fiddling around to find the best way to fulfill that promise!

For the Fishing Area Kit parts, you can use the Proof of Purchase that comes with your FAK to grab them manually whenever you like, so it's not like you can never upgrade again. We'll also be working on a more friendly auto-upgrade solution to come in the weeks ahead.
